Naples and Marseille in a single heart…
Beyond the clichés stigmatizing Naples and Marseille in the vision the entire Europe has of them, what gathers together these two lands, these two antique urban familiarities, is their stubbornness to subordinate the whole universe to their peculiarity and to their imagination. Prolific, jovial, radiant, chaotic, frisky, but also poignant and sometimes tragic, it is to this inalienable originality that Ve Zou Via pays homage, thus extending the music of the two bands, both emblematic of their city of origin, that are Assurd and Lo Còr de la Plana.
This “untimely” marriage is punctuated with familiar dances and songs, from serenade to farandole, including sacred songs, tarantellas an tammurriate, revisited here with humour by the four female voices of Assurd and the five male voices of Lo Còr de la Plana.
Percussions of all kind, accordion and “chitarra battente” accompany their vocal prowesses to lively celebrate a complicit, boisterous and always beneficent association!
